Simple Scrappy Strippy Quilt A quick and easy quilt perfect for using scraps or Jelly Rolls. 36” x 46”

Fabrics Needed Strips: Miscellaneous scraps, fat quarters or a jelly roll for the strips. Cut: 54 rectangles 2-1/2” x 8-1/2” (A) Sashing Strips: Coordinating fabric—I like using fabrics that read as solid here Cut: 6 strips 1-1/2” x WOF strips (B) Then sub cut 4 strips 1-1/2” x 36-1/2” and 2 strips 1-1/2” x 28-1/2” Border Strips: 3/4 yard of fabric Cut: 4 strips 4-1/2” x WOF (C) Then sub cut two strips 4-1/2” x 36-1/2” and two strips 4-1/2” x 38-1/2 Backing: 1 1/2 yards Binding: 1/3 yard - strips cut to the width of your choice. Batting: 40” x 54” (crib) Construction

Begin by piecing the rectangle A strips together as shown in the diagram. Mix up the fabrics for a nice scrappy look. 18 rectangles per strip unit.



Press seams in one direction.



Attach vertical strips B to the strip made from rectangle A units as shown in the diagram.



Press seams toward the sashing B.



Attach horizontal strips B top and bottom as shown in the diagram.



Attach top and bottom and side Borders C to the strippy center of the quilt as shown in the diagram.



Layer with backing and batting and quilt as desired. Bind using your favorite method.
