What inspires your school to recycle with the Snack Pouch Recycling Program? The big goal was mainly to win the picnic table, as it symbolizes all the effort that the children and parents of the school have put into TerraCycle’s Recycling Programs. The points raised at the beginning helped finance part of our new park and now the funds can be used for activities for the children. Tell us a story about your most moving, exciting, or memorable experience when collecting for the program. I hope that the most memorable moment will be the children’s faces when they first see the recycled picnic table! This is a concrete example to show them what TerraCycle does with the snack pouches that we send them. It’s a beautiful life lesson!
How did you get involved with TerraCycle and the Snack Pouch Recycling Program? I was already registered for other recycling programs, so I discovered this program on the TerraCycle website. How do you collect so many snack pouches? We have placed collection bins near the daycare area, so children put their snack pouches directly into the bins after snack-time and lunchtime. Several parents also encourage people in their network to collect snack pouches at home and in their own networks.
