A lot of people tend to think that healthy food is boring and bland. For this reason they choose to eat food that is unhealthy and this in turn causes damage to their chakras. The good news is the fact that there are tasty recipes that can be used to boost and balance their chakras. One recipe that I find to be delicious and very effective at boosting my solar plexus chakra is southwestern butternut squash. It is quite simple to prepare and it will not require you to slave over the stove for hours. To prepare this dish you will need:
1 butternut squash 1 cup of corn 1 cup of black beans, cooked 1 small diced onion 3 cloves of minced garlic 1 red or yellow bell pepper, preferably yellow 1 bunch of green onions ½ Teaspoon of turmeric ½ Teaspoon of cumin ½ Teaspoon chili powder ½ Teaspoon of fennel
Once you have all of your ingredients together you will need to begin preparing your dish. To prepare this tasty dish you will need to preheat your oven to 375 degrees. While your oven is preheating you can begin by splitting your squash in half. Make sure to remove the seeds and then hollow each of the sides out. Begin brushing coconut oil on the squash and then bake the squash with the meaty side down for approximately 30 – 40 minutes. While your squash is baking you need to sauté your onions and garlic until they are slightly brown. These will be part of your filling for the squash. At this point you will need to add in your spices and your bell peppers. Cook for another 5 minutes and then add in your beans and corn. Continue to sauté for a few minutes and then remove the filling from the heat. Once your squash is done, take your filling and stuff your squash with it. Top it off with some vegan cheese and you are all done!
