Space Coast Club Standards Coach Expectations
•Display professionalism at all times. •Coach/train the team in a professional manner. •Be a leader for the players and parents. •Master Communicators, Social Media, Coaches Fired. •Be an effective communicator, Email the team on a bi weekly basis with updates on how the team is doing: Good or bad, NPL coaches are expected to send an email after every NPL weekend. •Be fair, honest and have integrity. •Remember we are coaching children & young adults. •Promote a developmental model in keeping with the philosophy of the club. •Zoom Reports and Evaluations.

Coach Expectations
•Be 15 minutes early and organized with your coaching plans-No winging it.
•Look like a Space Coast Soccer Coach, wear PUMA coaching shirts, shorts, shoes, no flip flops, jeans NO EXCEPTIONS:
•Seek Coaching Education (licenses) ask the current senior staff for advice, watch sessions from other coaches and ask for a copy of the session.
•Drop Box sessions.
•Have a daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, yearly plan: Examples on Dropbox, there will be examples.
•What are your goals for the team? Do they know them and does the team believe in them?

Clinic and Tryouts
DATES: NPL Id Clinic May 23: Boys May 24: Girls

Travel & Select coaches lead the tryouts. Players Complete Pre-Registration Tryout Information Sheet: Travel coach is responsible for having enough evaluators-discuss with me so we are not pulling the same coaches.

tryout evaluators. It is an open, competitive tryout for ALL players. Players are selected by ability to the Elite and Premier teams. Administrators-Team Managers will provide Master Age Group tryout sheet (w/contact info.)
•At the end of tryouts you must make sure you have all your players •
names and #’s and send them to the classroom to register.
Make Up days, co-ordinate with me or Beverly Gibbs as to time of tryout.

Transition of Coaching Staff for 2015-2016 Season •New coach should be in contact with current coach team manager and preferably have watched them play. Get a list of players that you know for sure are returning.
•Attend games/practices/parent meeting or end of year party. •Seek current coaches input on players/team players by
go through current roster of players and find out who is returning and who is not, New coaches please introduce yourself to existing coaches to discuss team and smooth transition.

Structure of Tryout
•15 minute group warm up – all players with ball. •20 minutes – Technical Passing Patterns •30 minutes –6v6-11v11 where appropriate. •Move players to correct level. •Tryout Evaluation Sheets. •Grading process = 1, 2, & 3. •Take notes on EVERY player for feedback. •Coach cooperation. •Coaches responsible for equipment. •Paper work for tryouts. •Team Meeting no later than June 10th.

Post FYSA – Tryouts DAY 1 & DAY 2 • Coaches come to agreement on which players are selected to which team ASAP. • ALL players must be notified your top players and players ready to commit send to register at the site. • Travel Coach contacts or approaches Travel players first to register, then Select Coach, (in phone/in person). Make your offers as early as second tryout and get commitments, push the player to register on the day, once you make the offer push for a decision there and then, if they do not commit wait 24 hrs then if you have not heard call again and then move down the list. • NO COACH is allowed to contact players before assigned coach has contacted them. • EVERY player MUST be contacted. • Organize the date for your team meeting let me, Steve Snow and Marissa when that is and I will need to attend some meetings. • Have a date and time set for team meeting, don't wait, get them registered and set coaching plan out. • Registration process: Beverly Gibbs & Cheryl Roe.
