s t r e t c h e d A WORD FROM PASTOR MARIE VERSATILITY – I love this old African proverb which says, ‘reach high and see far’! Coupled with that, I also like the synonyms for the word versatility: adaptability, changeability and flexibility! God is the incredible God of versatility. Take another look at the intricacy of this world that He created. Yes, go ahead - stretch your mind or your neck out and look again. Look at the unending growth and development God has granted generations the privilege of accomplishing. Look at the variety of cultures and people that He has created; not to mention the variety of fowls of the air, beasts of the fields, reptiles and fish of the seas, insects and amphibians of the swamps, plantations and earthly structures. No wonder God continually reminds us to embrace new things. Whenever God calls us into the mode of versatility, it feels overwhelming. We may feel stretched beyond our abilities and certainly pulled beyond our comfort zone. Yet, it is in these moments that we can truly prove God’s power is working in our midst to accomplish great things for His glory. Moses was told to go to Egypt and declare God’s word to the Pharaoh.
Moses reminded God of His insecurities. The passage that God gave Moses came At the same time, God reminded Moses into to my spirit: of His creative powers. 2013 MISSION TRIPS
SPECIAL EDITION – SOUTH AFRICA
“You always remember our visit with joy and that you want to see us as much as we want to see you.” (1 Thess 3:6b) Everything we could ever experience has already been experienced and recorded in the Word of God. For instance, it is such a joy to know that the Congo has thrived under the care and leadership of Pierre & Marielle Paradis. Foundations Ministries’ spent many years in the early 2000’s traveling to Congo, stirring up hope and faith amongst the forgotten believers in the Katanga Province. Now this work has been entrusted to the Paradis, who received the call to go as our PAOC missionaries into this country. Finally, the time has come for Foundations to return and visit our Congolese friends to encourage them in their spiritual journey in this troubled country. They are looking forward to seeing us, as much as we are looking forward to seeing them. Thank you for your years of support, encouragement and prayers for these ‘breaking barriers’ trips.
