S h i n e Yo u r L i g h t A WORD FROM PASTOR MARIE SUDDENLY: A RAINBOW – UNCANNY DARKNESS – FOG! October 7, 2014 – I awakened and spent some time in a regular spot by the window where I pray. When the time was approaching 8 a.m, I was marveled by the phenomenal sight of a rainbow cascading through the skyline. It was so early in the morning, it seemed almost impossible to be true. Nevertheless, there it was - God’s promise! It was a sign of peace and blessings upon His creation permeating the skies. October 15, 2014 – Again, I went to my spot to pray; it was almost 7 a.m. Extreme darkness, unlike anything seen in previous mornings, covered the outside world. Not even the streetlights were on! By this time, many people were already on the road. Children were heading to school, and families were hustling to work. The normal morning hue was missing, which left the road covered in an uncanny darkness. It jolted my mind to the reminders of Matthew 24. October 17, 2014 – By 7a.m, I was awake and sitting ‘you know where’! The sky had its normal hue, but below the horizon was a vast coverage of fog. Unfortunately, this was not a surprising sight as there has been so much fog over the area lately. Although fog is not good, it has become a norm to the people living in my area, because it occurs so frequently! The reason this was so disconcerting is because society has become so comfortable in fog. ‘Fog’ is that in-between

place, a colliding time of hot and cold, where dampness permeates. It’s neither dark nor bright; a truly dangerous time to become comfortable! Three days, three different hues with three completely different messages; some biblical exhortations and some prophetic warnings: Rainbow: the phenomena and God’s promises! “When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” (Gen 9:16 NLT) Darkness: the caution of groping in the darkness and not leaving on our spiritual lights to shine for others! “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:5 NLT) Fog: the comfort of believers in fog, and their acceptance of this in-between season. “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other.” (Rev 3:15 NLT) Love the rainbows! Shine your light in the darkness! Don’t become complacent in fog! Instead, choose to see and acknowledge the signs of the times and purpose to draw closer to God. Keep a watchful eye! Blessings, Pastor Marie

New Brunswick Camp Meetings True to the motto of Full Gospel Assembly is a ministry with a happy song and a heart of love. It was a privilege to spend eight days in New Brunswick, along with Pastor Marie and Holly Handford of Winnipeg, Manitoba. All through the week, the FGA team led awesome times of worship, and Pastor Marie preached powerful messages of exhortation. They were uncompromising, relevant messages delivered with authenticity and passion, and sprinkled with humour. The week was all about drawing near to God and living completely surrendered to Him. As a member of the team, it was wonderful to watch God at work in multiple ways. One of the highlights of the week was bearing witness to the result of a previous camp meeting, when Pastor Marie and her intercessor, Mrs. Merle Merrick, prayed for a childless couple who wanted to have a baby. God is so faithful! They returned with their baby to give testimony of God’s greatness. By Ms. Judy Ikegami – Montreal, QC

SOUTH AFRICA MISSIONS REPORT ✈

During the months of August and September, it was by God’s divine appointment that I had the privilege to minister across the beautiful nation of South Africa. At such a tenuous time in the nation’s history, it was awesome to minister the Word of God and share about Christ’s redemptive grace. In every week of ministry, people came to the Lord and surrendered their will. This is a country that knows strength and resilience but has always lived in an unexplainable tension – only the power of God can resolve such tensions. One year after the death of the late Nelson Mandela (a man whose life was all about service to others), the country is growing in many areas; however, a deeply rooted fear is also growing. At least, the majority of people recognize that only by the power of God will true peace and healthy reconciliation remain. Thank you for your prayers throughout the two months of ministry. In each week of ministry, approximately 20-50 souls were saved because of Christ’s redemptive grace. Innumerable lives were changed, transformed and strengthened in the power of His might – these results are only due to your partnership in prayer.

Messages from Pastors & Churches in South Africa Pastor Marie released something dynamic of the Holy Spirit into the life of the church that has resulted in not only changed lives but also a freedom in worship. It has resulted in what we have termed ‘an extended time of worship’. Since her time with us, we have enjoyed great moments in worship resulting in people responding to the Lord without much prompting or persuasion. Pastor Cliff Rutter - Grace Church, Thornton, SA

My counseling appointment book has shrunk since the conference!  A clear sign that the lives of the recent women’s conference delegates have been impacted and empowered. Delegates are still making references to statements made by Pastor Marie’s ministry. The statement that has had the most significant impact is reference to the fact that if we are not doing anything to impact those around with that which God has given us, then we are wasting time. Another favourite is “get real and deal!”  Pastor Marie confirmed the season we have come from as a church and the season we are currently in without having any prior knowledge to the history of the church or its current status. This encouraged leadership! Pastor Debbie Sloane - Harfield Church, Kenilworth, SA

Since the weekend that Rev. Marie ministered at our church the atmosphere has never been the same. People are excited to come to services and the attendance has remained consistently high. Of the 19 people who gave their lives to Christ, we can account for 14 of them still. They have attended 4 sessions of new believer’s classes and they attend church regularly. Our Thursday prayer meetings are more vibrant and well-attended. People who got baptised in the Holy Spirit during that weekend are prominent in that they are active in various ministries. Pastor Innocent Matepo - River of Life Church, Grahamstown, SA

We had amazing feedback after each service and have also seen so many positive Facebook comments about how their lives were impacted. We had many God moments in the services and Sunday night was a real move of the Holy Spirit.  One text message I received was: “Ladies, that conference was just sooooo amazing!!! Really needed that. Thank you for those involved in organizing! Feeling refreshed, challenged, happy and emotional at the same time.” Pastor Lee-anne Rafferty - Edge Church, Edgemead, SA

FM PARTNERS: Thank You for praying. Every report above is due to your faithful prayers!

VISION FOR THIS HOUR

PRAY FOR LIBERIA & WESTERN AFRICA

“The Lamp of God has not yet gone out.” 1 Samuel 3:3 Check our website for a ReIgnite Holy Spirit Conference coming to your city!

Please make your prayers personal and intentional as you intercede for these countries! Here’s one response to our earlier call for prayer for Liberia from Pastor Josiah Mesleh – National Youth Director “Dear Rev. Miller and the FM Family: Thanks for always being thoughtful of us, our ministry, and Liberia. It is quite true that we need more of your prayers in these last days of our nations' history. This crisis has killed many strong youth including Pastor & Mrs. Joseph G. Sleh who helped greatly in the 2010 conference, and also Pastor Moses Brown, a revivalist. The churches are encouraged as we give them messages of hope; but sometimes it does become a challenge for us when we cannot reach out to them when they are sick. We know our God is able. “
