REDISCOVERING YOUR STASH Workshop with Weeks Ringle Saturday, November 16th, 10:00AM-4:00PM Gain color confidence and plan creative ways to use your stash in one day! Mix a big dose of color theory and color exploration with an in-depth discussion of combining patterns. Add a pinch of working with large-scale fabrics and you’ll end up with a plan for projects that you want to make from the fabrics you already have. In addition to learning the basics of color theory and fabric selection, you'll have a great opportunity for one-on -one consultations about how to freshen up your stash and utilize the fabrics that you love but aren't sure how to use. You’ll see new possibilities for working with your stash and be able to leave the workshop with beautiful palettes and plans for your next projects.

CAROLINE BINGLEY’S COWL WORKSHOP with Kirsti Johanson
Workshop fee $75.00 Lunch on your own
This pattern was inspired by the long and loopy cowls frequently worn today and my own preference for scarves over cowls. Caroline Bingley of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice was my inspiration, so I created something with peaks and points and extended lace in the trim.
IMPROVISATIONAL PIECING Workshop with Bill Kerr Sunday, November 17th, 10:00AM-4:00PM Learn different techniques for improvisational piecing and choose one to develop a new project. We’ll guide you through a strategy that will have you making design decisions as you go. Students can begin making our Call Me Crazy or Just Passing Through quilt or a project of their choice if they already have something in mind. Workshop fee $75.00 Lunch on your own
Techniques covered in the class include double knitted cast on for Estonian lace edging, basics of Estonian scarf texture, Estonian lace stitches and structure and lace design. October 13th 12:30-3:00PM Class Fee $35.00 Class fee includes pattern and class hand-out.
