Supervisor Rides Maintenance Cedar Point has an immediate opening for the position of Supervisor Rides Maintenance in our Ride Maintenance Division in Sandusky, Ohio. This full time position will report to our Ride Maintenance Manager.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing Ride Maintenance Shop and effectively supervising the planning, directing, and coordinating of the duties of the Ride Maintenance Foremen and mechanics in inspecting, repairing, and maintenance of all rides at Cedar Point.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: 

5-7 years’ experience as a ride mechanic with additional supervisory experience (foreperson).



Work well independently and with others



Possess good work ethic and attendance record



Able to follow company guidelines as they relate to communicating with and assisting park guests and associates.



Good written, oral, and record skills; ability to interview applicants



Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.



Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, orprovincial law.



Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Ensures that all employees are familiar with and apply proper equipment lockout procedures before maintenance work is begun.



Follow all company policies and safety rules; ensure union contract provisions are followed



Perform other supervisory duties as assigned by manager

 

Assist workers in diagnosis of equipment malfunctions based on observation and applying knowledge from past experiences. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of seasonal and full time applicants

   



Assist in keeping within the Ride Maintenance budget Keeps accurate records of employee issues such as work days, vacations, sick days, counseling, and disciplinary action. Schedules work along with Ride Maintenance union Forepersons.Supervises regular and seasonal staff Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment. Other duties may be assigned.
