TEXAS STATE POSTGAME NOTES Getting Started  Weather: Partly Cloudy, temperature 87 degrees, wind N 3 mph  Today’s game was televised by ESPN3  Today’s game was the 14th meeting between Texas State and ULM.  Today’s game marked Texas State’s 967th game since 1919.  Texas State wore white helmets, gold jerseys and gold pants.  ULM won the coin toss and chose to receive the opening half. Taylor caught his first career touchdown pass when he had a 47-yard reception from Hutch White to give the Bobcats a 20-19 lead at the end of the first quarter. Taylor became the first Bobcat to run for over 100 yards in a game this season when he finished with 102 yards on 15 carries against ULM. His 26-yard rush in the opening drive was longest run by a Bobcat in the game. Taylor led Texas State in receiving with 3 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. Damian Williams completed 13 of24 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown and rushed for two more TDs. Hutch White became the third Bobcat to throw a pass this season when he threw a 47-yard TD pass to Taylor. Tyler Watts caught his first touchdown pass of the season and first touchdown reception since he caught a TD pass against Ohio. Watts had a 25-yard TD reception from Damian Williams in the first quarter. Watts also had a 24-yard run in the third quarter for the longest run of his career.

Damian Williams scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season with a one-yard plunge up the middle in the first quarter. Team Notes Texas State opened the game with a 7-play, 73-yard touchdown drive for the first TD on an opening drive this season. Texas State’s 27 points are the most points scored in a single game this season. The Bobcats equaled their previous high with 20 points in the first quarter.
