The Capital Area RailHawks Academy Program is pleased to announce that for the fourth straight year, SportHQ will be the exclusive home for futsal specific training for all Academy players for the 2016-2017 season. This relationship will see the entire Capital Area RailHawks Academy Program hold futsal trainings at SportHQ. These trainings will occur December and January. The program will blend meaningful futsal instruction with free play opportunities to best enhance the Academy players’ technical abilities, overall speed of play, and overall enjoyment and development. “Futsal is another piece of a comprehensive development program that will help cultivate our players to compete at the highest level and reach their maximum development potential,” said John Bradford, Director of the Capital Area RailHawks Academy. “Also, by having the Academy Program players train at SportHQ, this not only puts us at a quality facility, but it helps continue to establish the tangible relationship between the Carolina RailHawks First Team and the Capital Area RailHawks Academy Program.” SportHQ is currently the performance training home for the Carolina RailHawks Professional Team of the NASL. "We are excited by the Capital Area RailHawks decision to continue to incorporate futsal into their year-round training program, and honored that they continue to choose SportHQ as their futsal partner. Having the top youth teams in the triangle electing to focus on futsal during the winter months, both through weekly SportHQ futsal training and participating in the SportHQ winter futsal league, allows us to work with the Capital Area RailHawk coaches to support the development of these exceptionally talented players,” said Chip Thomas, Owner of SportHQ. More exciting news will be coming soon about Capital Area RailHawks Program specifics.
