-‐ 1|2 Tennis Ball Toss (soft hands) -‐ Rapid Fire 6 balls (Hand/Eye Coord.) -‐ 1st/3rd Base Angle (Avoid taking glove out of strike zone) -‐ Walk Ups (Adjust to off-‐speed) -‐ Bullpen (Game like situations) Blocking Drills: -‐ Already Down (Work form and get comfortable using body) -‐ Block Horseshoe (15 ft. away throwing middle, left, and right) -‐ Lateral Line (4 balls in a line, working on driving around the ball) -‐ Pattern Drills (Down a baseline, create a pattern to work l,r,mid) -‐ 1st/3rd Base Angle (Working around) -‐ Random Blocking (Mix up strikes and balls in dirt, keep balance) -‐ Rapid Fire (Block, explode up, block) -‐ Block/Recover/Scoop -‐ Hockey Goalie (Speed/Conditioning) Throwing Drills: -‐ Transfer Separate (Build muscle memory of taking ball from glove) -‐ Transfer 1 Step (exchange and work placement of right foot only) -‐ T-‐Drill (work right left footwork in line to 2nd base, strictly footwork) -‐ Stand & Throw (Focus on footwork and staying linear to bag) -‐ Ball in Glove (Work progression all the way through throwing) -‐ One knee Throwing Drill: (30ft apart and back up to 127ft.) -‐ Back Pick @ 1st & Throws to 3rd Fielding Drills: -‐ Grab Grass (Emphasis 2 hands and scooping ball on bunt) -‐ 3 Ball (3 locations to work getting around the ball & redirecting) -‐ Roll Balls (coach behind catcher) -‐ Push-‐Up Pop-‐up (Work on exploding up and locating ball quick) -‐ Fouls on Bunt Pop-‐Ups Plays @ the Plate: -‐ Short Hops (Work through) -‐ Fungo (Stimulate tags) -‐ Pass Balls (Work around)
