Join us in the chapel tonight at 5:30 pm to hear the Zimbabwe mission team report. Wednesday Fellowship Suppers start at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Reservations are required; please call the church office by noon on Mondays to make or cancel reservations. MAGIC (Mature Adults Growing in Christ) Potluck Supper – Adults 55+ please join us for a potluck supper on Monday, February 27, at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Bring a vegetable, salad or dessert; meat, bread and drinks will be provided. David Hudspeth, Director of Main Street Youth Center, will be the guest speaker. For reservations call the church office by Friday, February 24. Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Study - It’s not too late to join this six-week study of the book Brave: Honest Questions Women Ask by Angela Thomas that meets on Wednesdays at 9:00 am in room AE310. Books are available in the church office for a suggested donation of $13. Needline - There is a collection box located in the Welcome Center for nonperishable food items to be donated to Needline. For the month of February spaghetti and jars of sauce are being collected. Church Notes - First Baptist Church of Murray will issue three year notes payable at an interest rate of 1.65% and five year notes payable at 1.90% on March 1 to help finance construction of the new Family Life Center. Notes Payable are where the church would borrow funds from you as an individual at a rate higher than what you would get for a CD but less than the church would have to pay on a loan. Interest will be paid to you quarterly, and the principal will be repaid to you at either the end of 3 or 5 years. Please contact the church office immediately if you are interested in investing in these notes. We will need the dollar amount of your investment, the name or names on the note, and the time period of the note (3 or 5 years). FBC Scholarship Applications Available - Members and friends of FBC have established scholarships to help students further their education. Scholarship applications for Fall 2017/Spring 2018 are available in the church office or on the church website: fbcmurray.org under the tab About Us. Limited scholarship funds are available and are awarded each year to students with FBC affiliation with emphasis on Christian ministry. If you have any questions or need further information, you may contact Lori Morgan at the church office (270-753-1854) or by email: [email protected]. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
