ANNOUNCEMENTS & EVENTS Churchwide Potluck Dinner - Bring a salad, vegetable or dessert and join us at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, December 20 in the Family Life Center. FBC will supply turkey with dressing, ham, rolls and drinks. To help with set up and food preparation, reservations are needed. Stop by the table in the Welcome Center or call the church office by Monday, December 18 to sign up to attend. Grace Marriage - Do you want a better marriage? Does the busyness of life seem to squeeze out your time together? If so, take a proactive, wellness approach and sign up for a Grace Marriage coaching group. You will take one day (6 hours) every three months, to look at the big picture, be refreshed by God’s grace, and invest in the most important horizontal relationship in your life. Registration is now open for Grace Marriage Coaching 2018. For more information and to sign up, visit the table in the Welcome Center or visit the FBC Murray website. December Schedule - We will have combined worship services at 11:00 am on December 24 (no Sunday School), and December 31. The 8:30 worship services will resume on January 7, 2018. On Sunday, December 24, we will have Christmas Eve services at 11:00 am and at 3 pm. In order to accommodate the schedules of our FBC family and our community, these two services will be the same to provide two opportunites to attend a worship service on Christmas Eve. There will be no Sunday School on Christmas Eve. The Church Office will close at noon on Friday, December 22, and will be closed all day on Monday, December 25, Tuesday, December 26, Friday, December 29, and Monday, January 1. In case of an emergency, you can call the church office and leave a message. Our church phone system will keep the staff informed should certain needs arise. Year End Giving - We will be closing out the financial year of 2017 soon. We hope that God has blessed each of you financially and that you have been good stewards of His resources. In order for you to claim a deduction in 2017 for contributions that you make to FBC, your contributions must be received in the church office by December 28, 2017 or postmarked no later than December 30, 2017. Contributions that you make in 2018 cannot be deducted on your 2017 tax return even if the check is dated 2017. Our church will be following these guidelines as we issue charitable contribution statements. Family Life Center Kitchen Usage Training will be Thursday, January 11 at 6 to 8 pm. Any group or individual that intends to use the FLC kitchen must have a representative attend this training. Call the church office to sign up to attend. FBC Employment Opportunities - Please contact Jeremy Hudgin if you are interested in either a part-time position to work in our Family Life Center or the part-time position of Director of Communications and Events. Needline - There is a collection box located in the Welcome Center for nonperishable food items and household items to be donated to Needline. For the month of December we are collecting canned beef stew.
