Recent ecent Projects
In 2007, Topaz began a 3-year project to redevelop 3 sites in south Texas. Topaz invested $1.2 $ Billion to construct or refurbish 1.8 GW of generation capacity (enough to power almost 600,000 ,000 households).
Texas Portfolio
The three state-of-the-art facilities generating almost 1.9 gigawatts: Barney Davis Energy Center, a natural gas combined cycle plant and a natural gas steam power generating facility located in Corpus Christi, Texas and rated at 683 MW and 335 MW. $513 million invested nt Nueces Bay Energy Center, a natural gas combined cycle plant located in Corpus Christi, Texas and rated at 681 MW. $535 million invested. Laredo Energy Center, two state-of-the-art natural gas LMS1000 simple cycle natural gas turbines in Laredo, Texas. Together, thee units are 200 MW. $154 million invested.

Energy Cent
Topaz also manages biomass facilities in North Carolina and 7 Power Plants located in the northeast of the United States: Coastal Carolina Clean Power, LLC (“CCCP”), a recently converted from coal to biomass plant located in Kenansville, Duplinn County, North Carolina, is a wood-waste steam power generating facilityy and is rated at 28 MW.
CCCP Elizabethown Lumberton
Elizabethtown Energy, LLC & Lumberton Energy, LLC, both are 35 MW coal-fired steam power generating facilities located in North Carolina. They are reference plants to the Kenansville facility and may be converted from coal to biomass.
Sapphire Power, a new portfolio company with plants strategically located in northeast United States competitive power markets, includes seven combined cycle gas fired plants and one gas fired peaking unit. Topaz manages the portfolio and two additional units that were not part of the acquisition.
