TOWN OF CHAPIN SOUTH CAROLINA

ANNEXATION ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE FOR 100% ANNEXATION OF A 1.04-ACRE TRACT INTO THE TOWN OF CHAPIN, SC. WHEREAS, a proper petition has been filed with the Town Council by 100 percent of the freeholders owning 100 percent of the assessed value of the contiguous property hereinafter described petitioning for annexation of the property to the Town under the provisions of S. C. Code Section 5-3-150(3); and WHEREAS, it appears to Council that annexation would be in the best interest of the property owners and the Town; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Chapin, South Carolina, this 21ST day of February, 2017 that the property herein described, and the adjacent and abutting rights-of-way, are hereby annexed to and become a part of the Town of Chapin effective February 21, 2017. A 1.04-acre tract as shown on a Plat prepared for Warehouses, Inc. by Cox and Dinkins, Inc. dated February 5, 2016 and to be recorded in the Office of RMC for Lexington County. The property is a portion of a larger parcel designated as follows on the County tax maps: 00030004-011. Lands contiguous to Town Limits, being known as a portion of Tax Map Number 000300-04-011 shown in the plat attached. The property shall be zoned General Commercial (GC) as recommended by the Chapin Planning Commission. This ordinance shall become effective February 21, 2017.
