Two Good Farms CSA October 4, 2016 Welcome to the 17th week of the Two Good Farms CSA. We hope you folks are excited for some fall vegetables, because they are really making an appearance in this week’s box. The winter squash variety in this box is the kabocha squash (also known as a Japanese pumpkin). It has a very sweet flavor, even more so than a butternut. We harvested quite a bit of squash in the last few weeks, so expect to see some fun varieties in coming boxes! In addition to squash, you’ll also find the first stalks of Brussel sprouts. Fry these little guys up with your garlic and onions, or add some bacon to make them even better. In other news, we have our last CSA party of the season coming up this Sunday, October 9th from 3-7pm. Bring your family and a side to pass, we’ll be providing chili (vegetarian option included) and cornbread. If you would like to come, please RSVP so we know how many to expect!
And finally, we still have fall shares available for those of you looking to stock up on some good storage and winter vegetables. The fall share consists of two weeks of two yellow bins of food. Though the dates are yet to be determined, the boxes are generally dropped off the weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas, perfect for holiday meals and parties! If you wish to sign up, please send an email or sign up on the Two Good Farms website. How to contact us
