v GGSA Board Meeting Minutes 8/8/15 at Unibank in Grafton
Board Members: Present - Karen Henning, Dick Cole, Alice Cole, Maria Valverde, Scott Bacon, Teddie Haggerty, Dave Bayreuther and Shannon Cahill; Others Present – Peter Cardoza
Proceedings: June minutes approved Treasurer’s report approved; Karen will follow-up on kickbacks promised from photographer Correspondences : none Diamond Program Update: o Board approved the Diamond Director’s nominations for head coaches for the 2015-16 season: 10U Phil Grass, 12U Pete Cardoza, 14U Mark Masera o Tournament season: 10U won 1 tournament and came in 7th at Nationals; 12U won 1 tournament, 2nd place in another; 14U Twin Valley worked out well o Pete stated assistant coaches will be picked by head coaches o Board approved using online registration from Blue Sombrero for all off-season activities League: Shut down of field house – Karen will contact the town to remind them to clean bathrooms after use; will make request about the direction of play by flag football Equipment inventory – Scott will take inventory early September after flag football ends The Board discussed the Bylaws that require Diamond players to play Rec. A point advisory committee meeting was scheduled for later in the month to revisit the bylaws and determine if changes need to be made to the current bylaws with a goal to have this done by September; Karen asked Board to get feedback from others to bring to meeting Elections – Teddie, Scott and Dave terms will be up in October Next Board Meeting : 9/16/15 Meeting Adjourned
