In order to continue with our Winstanley wide push on improving communication, we have drawn up the following curriculum map to show all that is on offer to every student here at Winstanley Community College. We have worked tirelessly to make sure that every student has not only a curriculum that suits their needs, but also an extra-curricular offer which can truly enrich every student’s time at Winstanley.
We have had very positive feedback over our fortnightly newsletter, but would like to try and resolve any communication issues that you still feel we have to tackle. Please email : [email protected] Following comments from a parent this week, we are endeavouring to find a solution whereby texts are sent to parents of any sporting squad member to let you know the date, time and estimated return times of any sporting fixture on a weekly basis. We will also communicate if there is a delay for any reason on their return journey. 1
Kingsway Year 6 Visit - Feedback On Wednesday 17th September we were thrilled to entertain Kingsway Year 6 for a day here at Winstanley. We reported what an amazing day everyone had back in September, and we have recently received a letter from each student. We are delighted by their letters and have included some of the student comments. “The Winstanley experience was awesome…. The drama teacher was very funny and made me come back to Kingsway with a big smile on my face…. Some people preferred cooking; some drama. However, I liked all of them…. Amazingly, I learnt something in every lesson…. Very good school…. We did an amazing French lesson….. It was an amazing day, with all the different lessons…. Thank you for inviting us to Winstanley, the trip was mind blowing.” Thank you Kingsway, you were amazing and we are thrilled you had a wonderful day with us.
Christmas Dinner Menu Roast Turkey, Stuffing and pig in blanket Potatoes/Peas/Carrots Broccoli/Brussels Gravy Christmas Pudding or Chocolate Sponge Custard Christmas dinner will be served on
Thursday 11th December and costs just £2.85 Please order your dinner in advance, tickets will be on sale in the foyer at break all next week (24th – 28th November) This will of course be free to pupils who are entitled to a free school meal, however, they will still need to place an order next week. For this occasion we will not be using the cashless catering system. We hope to see all pupils and staff come along and enjoy this festive occasion 2

Lost Property Lost property is located in the main school reception. If your child has lost anything please check with reception. Any items that have not been claimed after one month will be disposed of or given to charity. There are also some items of P.E. kit being held in the P.E. changing rooms.
