Children’s Ministry Survey & Listening Sessions
Children and families are important to Saint Luke’s. The Clergy and Vestry are interested in the effec veness of our Children’s Ministries programs. The web link address below takes you to a survey that asks about the programs offered to children at Saint Luke's. (There are also paper copies of the survey on the Narthex table.) The goal of the survey is to gain feedback on what is working, what is challenging and how the offerings for children might be improved. h ps://www.surveymonkey.com/s/B6RG9QT Please complete the survey by June 16th and feel free to share the link to the survey with other Saint Luke's parents.
In addi on to this survey, we are also planning two Listening Sessions with the Rector, scheduled for Mon‐ day June 29th at 10:00 AM (with childcare provided) , and Tuesday June 30th at 7:00 PM. Both sessions are in the Taylor Room. We hope to see you there.

Saint Luke’s Steppers Next Hike: Saturday, June 27
The Saint Luke’s Steppers will con nue their spring schedule with a hike in the beau ful Aspetuck Land Trust area in Redding. Bring any of your children/ guests who might enjoy this two‐hour ramble in one of Connec cut’s splendid parks. New for this hike is the mee ng point: We will meet in the commuter parking lot on the eastbound side of Exit 38 off the Merri and then carpool to our hiking loca on. We will meet at 10:15 AM.
Please bring a full water bo le, a bag snack lunch and a sturdy pair of sneakers or running shoes (hiking boots and s cks are a plus, but not necessary).

Flower Delivery Help Needed
Want to host a Saint Luke’s Progressive Dinner?
The Saint Luke’s Progressive Dinner and Block Par es will return this fall on Friday October 16th, 2015. The evening starts with appe zers for all a endees in the Parish Hall at 6:30 PM. Then we will break up into our smaller groups and head out to a home in your neighborhood for dinner and dessert, from 8:00 –10:00 PM. It’s potluck and you find out where you’ll be having dinner when you arrive. Please consider hos ng one of the smaller groups in your home. We will work around your home’s space. The Altar Flower Delivery Crew is looking for new volunteers! We deliver beau ful arrangements of altar flowers to fellow parishioners to let them know that we are praying for them or celebra ng with them. As our beloved Winnie Smith leaves us in July to pursue her career in Washington, we are pleased to announce that we have called a new leader for your youth.
Michael Toy will be joining the staff at the end of June, just in me to join Winnie on the Middler Mission Trip to Maine. Michael just graduated from Princeton Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. He has led youth groups in both camp and church se ngs and loves making faith accessible to young people.

Summer at Saint Luke’s

In addi on to his work with youth, Michael has special skills and interest in adult spiritual forma on as well. Since we have been seeking someone to provide staff assistance to the Associate Rector overseeing Adult Spiritual Ministries, we are pleased that Michael will be working on “Pathways” and other adult programs. Accordingly, Michael will have a dual role as Director of Youth Ministries & Assistant for Adult Spiritual Forma on. We are eager for all of you to meet Michael, and help welcome him to Saint Luke’s.
Summer brings a more relaxed schedule at Saint Luke’s, with many programs taking a vaca on.
For finding someone whose gi s so perfectly match our needs, we are grateful to the Youth Director Search Commi ee: Pat Cage, Millyn Gaaserud, Greg Smith, Jim Batson, Karen Orphanos, Chris e Hanson and Holly Kelly. Special thanks to Jonathan Thomas who invested so much of his me and energy as the clergy liaison to the search team.
Key Changes to Note . . .
Sunday Worship: 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Fellowship and refreshments in the Cloister a er worship.
Church School: There is no Church School. Childcare and story me is provided for children at the 10:00 AM Service. Children leave a er the Opening Hymn for Story‐ me and return at the Peace. Come As You Are: The last service of the program year is June 14. Services resume in the fall.
Summer Office Hours (star ng June 12): Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
