Why owl has big eyes
In the land of Tinga Tinga there was a small, cute Owl with a colourful, smooth body, who lived in the grassland. She lived happily with her closest friends, such as Tickbird and Elephant .While the sun rose on the grassland, the animals played. The Owl slept. The Monkeys were playing hide and seek.
Everyone was playing in the grassland ...everyone except Owl. Owl much preferred sleeping all day than playing. She once tried to play with the monkeys, but every time she tried she just kept bumping into things! The reason she kept bumping into things was because she had very small eyes (this made her very sad).
Since owl couldn't see very well, she couldn't find food, so Tickbird wanted to help, "Don't worry Owl, I'll help you get some food!" said Tickbird, "You would?" replied Owl.
So Tickbird and Owl looked for food. Owl found a fruit tree...they both shared the fruit. "That was yummy!" said Tickbird, but owl wasn't very happy. "I wish I had big eyes..."
"I have an idea !" shrieked Tickbird. "What is it ?" asked Owl. "We will go get Elephant and he will give you big eyes," replied Tickbird, so they went and got Elephant. "Hello Elephant," said Tickbird. "I want you to scare Owl, "whispered Tickbird. "Ok I will yell BOO!" said Elephant. Then Elephant crept up behind Owl and yelled at the top of his lungs, "BOO!" Suddenly, Owl's eyes started to grow and grow and grow until her eyes were very, very big!" I can see much better now," said Owl . Owl was very happy - she was glad ! Both Elephant and Tickbird said she looked pretty.
