About the Eagles Grinnell College had the majority of the shots, but the Edgewood College women’s soccer team converted the only opportunity they needed in a 1-0 victory over the Pioneers on Sunday afternoon. Alisha Nolden finished off a wild scramble in front of the net, and freshman goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer made eight saves to give the Eagles their second straight victory. Grinnell College (2-4) had a majority of the early action, but he Eagles got the goal they needed as the clock struck the 20th minute of the game. Shannon Kaufmann started the sequence with a cross into the box. The Pioneers attempted to clear, but the ball rattled around between bodies, until it squirted free to Madelyn Peach. Peach’s shot from 12 yards, struck the crossbar and bounced out toward Nolden. Nolden reached out away from the goal and flicked the ball back toward the net, where it eluded the Grinnell goalkeepers and two defenders. On Saturday, seven different Eagles scored a goal in a 7-0 shutout of Maranatha Baptist. Mady Warda and Ashley Siegel scored first half goals, before Nolden, Holly Gura, Hannah Menzia, Mariah Walton and Autumn Bultman completed the onslaught in the second half.

About the Raiders MSOE owns a 2-5 record and has beaten Lake Forest College 3-1, and Knox College 1-0, for both of their wins. The Raiders are averaging 9.43 shots per game and are led in scoring by both Nora Adkins and Aly Loepfe who have each have two goals. The MSOE attack has put 30 of their 66 shots on goal and are anchored by goalkeeper Mary McFee, who has started five matches, has 35 saves, and a .700 save percentage. Eagles lead all-time series 27-5-1 Trend: MSOE has won four of the last five meetings
