Simple present and present progressive forms When we talk about something that often happens, we use the simple present form with an adverb.
“Clive plays football every Tuesday.” “Mary works in a restaurant.”
With present progressives we are talking about a specific time often using the ‘ing’ suffix.
“Colin is playing football.” “Mary is not here, she is working.”
