Bloomsburg University Cross Country/Track & Field Teams Cross Country Gears Up for Post-Season Just four in-season meets preface the PSAC Cross Country Championships, but our Huskies have been steadily gearing up with every competition, and are ready to shine this weekend at Cal U. Both teams come into the championship season with some stand-out performances under their belts, along with a season of consistent training that has prepared them to conquer any course—even Cal’s toughest hill! Check out a couple of our most notable showings from the regular season as we head into PSACs with confidence! Senior Alana Jacaruso has had a tremendous season— a testament to the phenomenal job she did with her summer training prior to the start of XC. Alana cruised to a big personal best at Kutztown, and then followed up with a huge run at Lock Haven, where she placed 5th overall and bested her time from a year ago on the same course by over two minutes!
Junior Nick McGuire had a break-out run at DeSales, where his tactically conservative start and overall smart racing made him the first Husky to cross the finish line. He had an overall finish of 14th out of 271 runners, and led the men’s team to fourth place of 28 teams!
