Steps 1. Put the objects in order from shortest to longest. 2. Compare the length of the objects using one of the three objects.
The first paintbrush is shorter than the paintbrush in the box. It is the shortest. The last paintbrush is longer than the paintbrush in the box. It is the longest.
1. Find an item in the classroom that is longer than this paintbrush. Find an item that is shorter.

2. Take out one crayon. Find an object that is longer than the crayon, and an object that is shorter than the crayon. Find the longest and shortest objects.
