Plane shapes: Shapes that have a flat surface and are closed. They can have sides and vertices. Vertex: the common point where two lines meet; a corner Vertices: more than one vertex Hexagon: a flat, closed, 6-sided shape with 6 vertices
Trapezoid: a flat, closed, 4-sided shape with 4 vertices
Circle: a flat, closed, 0-sided shape with no vertices. A half circle is half of a circle. A quarter circle is half of half of a circle.
Right angle: a 90˚ angle formed by two perpendicular lines
