11. Park and Rec Request for the $5,000 previously approved for the board has come through. This is for the engineering study to improve the Cox Upper Fields. From: Rick Maynard [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 12, 2015 10:26 AM To: Joe Guerra; Ed Greene ([email protected]); 'John Ireland'; Jake Jarvis Cc: Paul Schmidt ([email protected]) Subject: Funds for upper Cox engineering Dear Joe, Ed, John and Jake, We have received the proposals for the engineering plans for the two upper Cox fields. The total is $20,000 and will be awarded to Milone and MacBroom. Each of you had committed $5000 toward the cost for the engineering study and construction documents. The Parks and Recreation Department has $150,000 budgeted for the actual renovations, which include grading the south field and installing irrigation on both upper fields. The plan is to do that work once the 2 new fields are on line at GHS. Please send the $5000 check made payable to Guilford Parks and Recreation Department to my attention by August 28 so we can contract with Milone and MacBroom to begin their work.
