Reading and Approval of minutes by : Joanna Miller November 12th, 2017 – copy of the clubs monthly minutes are available on 4-H Treasurer’s Report by: Sophie Crandall$1,100.00 Old Business: 4-H Holiday Fun Night: Friday, December 15th, 6:00pm at the CCE Building We will be decorating cookies and making a fun holiday craft! Members are asked to bring 2 dozen of your favorite Christmas cookie (per family) for a cookie swap. RSVP to the 4-H Office by December 12th if you would like to attend. Save the Dates for 2018 Genesee County 4-H Public Presentations: Friday, February 9, 2018 – Public Presentations Registration Forms due to 4-H Office. Registration form coming soon! Saturday, February 17, 2018 – Public Presentations Event at Byron-Bergen School, 9:00am – 12:00pm. *This is the only opportunity to qualify for District Presentations! Thursday, March 15, 2018 – Public Presentations Event at CCE Office, 3:00pm – 5:00pm. Monday, April 9, 2018 – NEW Livestock Program Public Presentations Event at CCE Office, 6:30pm – 7:30pm. *Livestock Club members are invited to give a 3-10 minute presentation on a topic relating to the livestock industry or their project animal to fellow Livestock Club members. Presentations will not be evaluated and cannot qualify for district presentations. Fulfills market program public presentation requirement- Pass out and collect forms Fritz Eisenhard Memorial 4-H Market Animal Loan: The Fritz Eisenhard Memorial Loan is up to a $400 interest free loan to be used towards the purchase of a 4-H project animal for the market animal auction program. All Genesee County 4-H members are eligible to receive this loan. The amount of the loan will be deducted from the proceeds check from the sale of the recipient’s project animal. Applications are due to the Genesee County 4H Office by January 1, 2018. Vote for your favorite 4-H Fair Theme! The winning theme will be featured in the 4-H Parade Floats, Club Displays and Fair T-Shirts at the 2018 Genesee County Fair. 4-H members and families can vote as many times as you would like to. Genesee County 4-H Goat Club Meeting Minute 20172018 Club T-shirts- J. Miller announced that the club would be questing quotes for Goat Club t-shirts from local printers. 40members/family members who attended the meeting were interested in Club t-shirts. J. Miller hopes to bring order forms and proofs of shirts to the January meeting. Educational Program introduced by: Joanna Miller Selecting/Buying Meat Goat Project discussion - Meet goat project guide sheet Meat Project Weigh in: March 25th beginning at 9:00am at the Kennedy Building at the Genesee County Fairgrounds, 5056 East Main Street Road, Batavia. *Goats must be identified with an official scrapie tag at weigh-in. This will provide an Additional form of identification. *Project Animals must weigh 60-125lb (not over 12months of age) on the final weigh-in on July 15th at 3pm: Break into 3 groups for Activities Group 1: Decorating Cooking’s in the front half of kitchen Group 2: Painting Wood Snowman ornaments in the downstairs conference room: Group 3: Goat Bowl Question
