Genesee County 4-H Goat Club Meeting Minute 20172018 Normal Meeting Time: 2nd Sunday of the Month 1-3pm

Reading and Approval of minutes by: Joanna Miller March 11th, 2018 – copy of the clubs monthly minutes are available on 4-H website Treasurer’s Report by: Joanna Miller $1,100.00 Old Business: Showmanship Clinic April 28th, 2018 from 10-2pm – learn showmanship tips for beef, cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, & market poultry. Register by April 2nd. Soap Making Fundraiser- Kids brought in money from the soap fundraiser. Several families still need to bring in money from their bars. How to write a buyer letter- clinic will be held on May 3rd, please contact the 4-h office to attend. Boer Goat Expo at the state fairgrounds- Mr. Riley is looking for volunteers to help at the show, volunteer hour points can be given. New Business: Win a 4-h goat essay contest- Discussed and handed out applications. Fair book and fair schedule are out-Please go to the 4-h website to get a copy. May Meeting change- May 6th at fairgrounds, showmanship clinic and Goat skill athon. Educational Program introduced by: Joanna Miller Group Activity – Made chalkboard sings to hang above our fair pens. 4-H Member Activity- Dr. Cricket did a presentation on goat health, bio-security, and what you need to know regarding health checks for fair. Adjournment: 2:44pm Goat Club Leader Electronic Signature: Joanna Miller Next Meeting: May 6th @ at the Fairgrounds, we will be practicing goat showmanship with Liz Webber and doing goat skill a-thon with John Millroy
