Upcoming Events Bible Doctrine Class | Want to know more about the Bible and gain a firm understanding of scripture? Starting TODAY at 11:30am, Pastor Andy Boettcher will begin teaching a Bible Doctrine Class in Room 200. This is a college level class for adults and will require weekly homework. The text book is Introducing Christian Doctrine by Millard Erickson. Feel free to stop by the information desk for more information.
Intergenerational Christmas Choir | Practice starts Wednesday, October 23rd at 6:45pm in the sanctuary. All ages welcome! Childcare will be provided (no practice the week of Thanksgiving). Senior Adult Day Trips | We are headed to the World Center for Birds of Prey on Friday, October 25th. We plan to leave from church at 1:50pm. Cost is about $7. Weather permitting, there will be flight demonstrations. If you plan to attend, sign up a the information booth. Jr. High Jump Time | Join us for trampolines, foam pits, slam dunk basketball and dodge ball. Friday, October 25th from 7-8pm at the Boise Jump Time, located on River Street between 10th & 11th. Cost is $10. For questions contact Pastor Kenny at 417.229.3525. Meet the Pastor | Join us after each service on Sunday, October 27th for Meet the Pastor. This is a simple meet & greet to meet the staff as well as ask any questions about the vision and programs at First Baptist. College Costume Party | Thursday, October 31st at 6:45pm at the Hub. Bring a snack to share with the group. Contact Elaine Watkins at [email protected]. Women’s Connection | “All Hands On Board” Women’s Work Day. Join us as we gather to clean, paint and spruce things up inside & out at the church. We will finish with a soup lunch in the fellowship hall. Saturday, November 2nd from 9amNoon.
Campus Prayer Night | We have a passion for the BSU campus. Come pray with us for God’s Kingdom to be present on campus. Thursday, November 7th at 7pm at the BSU Quad. Holiday Service Opportunities | The holidays are a great time for individuals and families to serve those less fortunate than themselves. Stop by the lobby to checkout all service opportunities available. Some of the opportunities include Rake up Boise, Painting a room at the Women’s and Children’s Alliance and at the Boise Rescue Mission.
American Baptist Women | Do not forget to bring the items to be sent to Cordova, AK. Bring a friend and a brown bag lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. Wednesday, October 23rd at 12pm in the Chapel. Volunteer Opportunity | First Baptist’s ministry to and with our Karen friends is looking for additional volunteers.
