HARLEY H. POPE FLIGHT ORDER OF DAEDALIANS NATIONAL FRATERNITY OF MILITARY PILOTS FLIGHT NO. 48 909 W Rowan St Fayetteville, NC 28301

August Meeting August 28, 2014 Make your reservation

Wow, it has been a great summer and things are gearing up for the fall season. School will be starting and many organizations will be revitalizing their agenda to engage the membership. Likewise, I

would like to inform our flight of the many noble things the Harley H. Pope Flight # 48 has accomplished this past year. Joe Fitzpatrick will discuss our involvement in the JROTC awards from National, and more importantly how the active members can individually support this great activity. Walt Dietrich will talk about the possibility of supporting a student in obtaining his or hers pilot license. The Cadet Flight Indoctrination Program, CFIP, is a National program designed to promote interest in our young people to motivate them to pursue a career in military aviation. Last year, we supported The Purple Heart Society by donating money and buying a plane ticket home for a wounded veteran. Additionally, we paid for several Airmen to attend the 66th Air Force Ball held at PAAF. I would like to continue these efforts, with the support of the flight. So, please join us at this upcoming meeting and enjoy friendship with some of the most patriotic and dedicated active duty and retired military aviators in the world.
