How To Guide: Feeding LookBook Engagement Data into Eloqua LookBook Analytics provide “beyond the click” data on engagement with the content of your LookBooks. This data can be fed into Eloqua, and used for lead scoring, segmentation, and nurturing; as well as informing your subsequent content targeting.
Preliminary Step:
It is recommended that you complete the actions in the “Embedding a LookBook in an Eloqua Email” document, before performing the steps in this document.
Step One: Initializing the LookBook Custom Object
You have connected your LookBookHQ account to Eloqua, and now you need to initialize your LookBook Custom Objects in Eloqua. Before proceeding with the steps below, there are a few things to note: • For each unique LookBook “pushed” to Eloqua, there is a Custom Object (formerly Data Card Set) created. • For each unique contact who receives and interacts with a LookBook sent via Eloqua email, a Custom Object Record (formerly Data Card) is created within the aforementioned Custom Object. • It takes approximately one hour for Eloqua to collect the LookBook engagement data, after a contact has interacted with a LookBook. In order to initialize a Custom Object for a LookBook, you must push the LookBook to Eloqua. If you already did this, you should see a Custom Object created for it. Confirm this by checking Contacts >> Custom Objects in Eloqua. Note that a Custom Object contains the name of its corresponding LookBook.
If you have pushed a LookBook to Eloqua, you can move on to the next section: Step Two. However, if you have not pushed a LookBook to Eloqua, perform the actions below: 1. While logged into your LookBookHQ, select to the LookBook of your choice from the dashboard. 2. Click Sharing & Settings.
3. Under Integrated Tools and Apps, click “Push to Eloqua”
4. The LookBook has now been pushed to Eloqua, and a Custom Object has been created for it. Confirm this by checking Contacts >> Custom Objects in Eloqua.
Step Two: Configuring LookBook Custom Objects
After your Custom Object has been created, you will need to configure the display name field, so that your Custom Object Records contain a proper indentifier. 1. Select the Custom Object, and open its details editor. 2. From the dropdown in the Display Name Field, select “Contact Name” and click save. You can also set the Email Address field to “Contact Email”; recommended, but not mandatory.
3. After your LookBook’s engagement data is fed into Eloqua, you will start to see the Custom Object Records populated for each unique contact that interacted with your LookBook.
4. Viewing a Custom Object Record should reveal the following fields: • Contact Name • LookBook Total Tiles Viewed • LookBook Total Time on Tiles • Tile 1 Time • Tile 1 Views • … to Tile N
