• Smoke from smoke testing activities.
WHY? • Investigate the existing sewers to determine locations of needed sewer repairs.
• Reduce risk and frequency of sanitary overflows and basement backups.
WHERE?
• Temporary street closures.
The project is located in two areas of Kansas City, Missouri within the following boundaries:
• Public meeting will be held to inform
• Northern boundary: Red Bridge Road • Southern boundary: Kenneth Road
• Rehabilitate the aging sewer system.
• Eastern boundary: 71 Highway
• Meet regulatory requirements as part
• Western boundary: State Line Road
of KC’s Overflow Control Program.

• Crews may knock on your door if they need to inspect the sewer or manholes on your property.
• Crews will not ask to enter your home or building.
IMPROVEMENTS?
WHEN? • Field investigations will be on going through November 2015.
• Design professional services will be conducted from January 2015 through August 2016.
• Construction will occur between December 2016 to February 2018.
• Current activity includes identifying needed sewer rehabilitation repairs.
CONTRACT AMOUNT Design professional services contract includes all services rendered through the construction phase of the project.
• $380,000
