LIFTED UP FROM THE PIT “He plucked me up from the pit of confusion, even out of the quicksand; He placed my feet upon the rock and established my steps.” Psalm 40:2 Have you ever felt like you are in a pit? It could be the pit of anger, the pit of pain or the pit of regret. Well you’re not alone. Sometimes it’s the pit of confusion and you’re swamped in procrastination, not sure what to do. There are many people who have felt the same way in the bible. They felt abandoned, rejected or alone. Those feelings were just feelings, not the reality of God. God always made a way for them and He has made a way for you! There’s no pit too deep for God’s hand to reach. Corrie Ten Boom, Holocaust survivor said, “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.” No matter what has happened to you, God can reach and heal you from any pit effect. No matter how deep your trouble is or has been, only Jesus can pull you out! God made Christ rise from the dead so that His life could raise you up out of shame, illness, pain, or tragedy. No one is immune from trouble or hardship. Jesus said, “ In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Storms will come and go. You can’t control what goes on around or outside you. But you can control what happens in you! You must never let go of God. God will never go and leave us, but sometimes we let go of Him and don’t sense His presence. When we find ourselves having a pit experience, all we need to is call out on the Lord for His help and He will come and raise us up then He will set our feet on high and safe ground again. How does He do this? By securing you again in the incredible love of Christ. Jesus is the Rock of Ages. God turns out hearts to the Rock and firmly plants our feet to walk safely again. We need to read and hold onto the promises of God when we find ourselves in a pit. Get the mighty Word of God out and start speaking life over yourself or the person who finds themselves in a pit! His Word is a strong rope and can pull us out of anything. Out of the wreck you and I can rise every time! Let the Word of God wash over you and cleanse all trace of the miry dirt then keep walking forward beloved in Jesus Name! © Ps. INNERLIFE NEWS Around 50 men attended Joshua’s on Monday the 2st March, along with Senior Pastor Peter. Hans Rietenbach shared his testimony of coming to Christ, and his early history of coming from Germany with his family as migrants. He also shared about the early days of coming to this ministry and meeting his wife Yvonne, (whom was also a Bible College student). They went to most of the field work staying in Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Tonga, and New Zealand…praying all the way. Hans also shared some very personal times about their son as well. Giving glory to God for His love and care for them. Reports from the Solomon Islands were read out by Rick. Jonathan and Jenny Edwards shared how Lara was on the improve after fever. Also that there were new students coming to Bible college, and that things were moving ahead. Jonathan shared about running business, college and outreach to areas around them. They are hoping to get the very large church building completed as soon as possible. Thank you to all who are praying and supporting them in Solomon Islands. Report was shared from Tim in Santo read out by Chris. “Hi I am teaching in Bible College, preaching and running crusades. Working in maintenance and some construction around the property. Farming goats, and harvesting crops and vegetables. On weekends visit areas around Santo preaching in services/crusades. Thank you for the prayer & support. Pray as I reach out to the local Chinese people here.” Report from Adem in New Zealand was also shared: “The work is just growing in all areas throughout, from the youth to the couples, even the Bible College numbers. Over 110 to the services in the evening and mornings for the church. 25 souls baptised this year all ready. Work started on the new building for church and college. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, and given, and come, to the NZ work.” Ps Peter shared about the completed water well in Vanuatu at Touma property. Also the Uganda appeal to make some new toilet wells for the orphans was to be the evening’s fund raiser. He noted that several of the orphans now go to local High School. Several people left on Monday after Resurrection Sunday to go to Africa…new Bible College location and Fellowships. Ps. Peter thanked everyone for their generosity to the widow and orphans. Chris shared the message of Widows and Orphans. James 1:27 says we should visit them. He shared the vision of Dr Thomas through his early fostered years as a child and how NTM Ministry majors on travelling overseas to take this gospel to all widows and orphans. John 14:18 Jesus says to us that He will not leave us as orphans… sending the Holy Spirit to comfort and the Father in Heaven is aware of each one. The blessing that is sown into others lives, makes it pleasing for us to help others.. May all the men who attended be encouraged. … God bless. Ps. David Bone
