CHRIST IN YOUR HOME “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established. By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Proverbs 24:3-4 What’s your house built on? Is your home founded on the ways of God? We need to be a witness on the streets, in the market place and to our neighbours and friends. But the most influential witness of Christ is in the home. Whether we are married, single, young or old. How we live our lives behind closed doors will reveal how much we are like Christ. Christianity is seen in the way we live our life in private and how we handle our relationships and life’s challenges. Christ wants us to bear fruit and be like Him. Matthew 7:17-20 says, “…..every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit…….V20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” Most of the fruit we sow is going to happen in our own homes. It’s no good to go to church, study the bible and treat yourself or your family in a way that doesn’t reflect Christs’ ways or example. How can we build a house that reflects God? Through wisdom and understanding. Your home needs to have God’s ways established and put into practice. Wisdom is the “application of God’s ways”. When we study the Word of God we learn His character and thinking. The Word tells us so much about how to behave, teach, invest and guide our families. As we understand and establish God’s principals in our marriages, parenting, friendships and relationships, then we can fill the rooms of our house with precious and pleasant riches. These include love, mercy, grace, unity, compassion, long suffering , joy and peace. If your home is a battlefield, it’s time for you to get help! Turn to God with all your heart and seek His wisdom to understand what you should do. If you begin to sow His ways, you will soon begin to reap His blessings. Every home needs love, leadership, a heart of service, respect, consideration and prayer. Under Christ, the husband is the head of the home. The wife is the heart of the home. The children are the fruit of the home. Who you are in your home , is who you really are. Remember to invite Christ to be the unseen guest and hearer to every conversation and build your home for Him! Senior Pastors Peter and Sonia Thomas 53 Catalina Drive, Tullamarine Vic. INNERLIFE NEWS SUPERHERO IKIDS Everybody loves a Superhero! On Friday 14th October, the Ikids primary aged kids dressed up as a superhero and had a big party! They enjoyed a great BBQ and loads of fun. They had some games but then moved into a time of special worship and a powerful word from Principal Neil Thomas. They learnt 3 things about Jesus Christ the greatest hero of all eternity-He kept His powers secret for 30 years but then revealed them everyone. -He did many miracles and good. Defeated the great enemy Satan and sin. -He died saving the world. Our Super hero Jesus lives with all those who believe and love Him.
