HR Assistant HR Manager
Overview: VICE is the world’s preeminent youth media company and content creation studio. Launched in 1994, VICE now operates in over 30 countries and distributes its programming to hundreds of millions of viewers across digital, linear, mobile, film and socials. VICE includes an international network of digital channels, a television and feature film production studio, a magazine, a record label, an in-house creative services agency, a book-publishing division and a new 24-hour TV channel, VICELAND, launched in in the UK and Ireland in September 2016. Role: The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR Manager and HR Director, EMEA to offer HR support to over 400 employees across VICE UK and i-D. This is a varied role that offers great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of areas within HR. The role will involve assisting with all areas of HR, including ad hoc research and support on projects. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience of working within a relatable position and industry. Main Responsibilities:
Prepare offer letters and contracts for permanent members of staff and freelancers. Collate required compliance data for all staff within VICE, including freelancers. Carry out reference checks for all new employees at VICE and i-D. Assist the Recruitment team with the induction process for all new employees at VICE and i-D. Manage the end of probation process ensuring that all the relevant paper work is given to the employees when they pass their probationary period. Prepare paperwork relating to any changes in contracts of employment for existing employees. Maintain up to date staff lists. Help to manage sickness and holiday records on company intranet. Compile and maintain accurate personnel files. Deal with any general HR queries, escalating them to the HR Manager and HR Director, EMEA as necessary. Must be meticulous with a strong attention to detail. Carry out research and assist with ad hoc projects as required.

To undertake such other tasks including general administrative duties as may be required from time to time. To be an ambassador for the business at all times.
