Kingston Elementary 2017 Newsletter Dear Families, January was a very busy month. The teachers and students are back in the groove of teaching and learning. Please remember to send your child to school with a jacket or sweatshirt and place their name on it. We still have several in the lost and found, if your child is missing one, please come by anytime to look for lost items. I still want to encourage all parents/guardians to let their student stay the entire full day which ends at 3:20. If you have ever been in the front office at the end of the day, you are aware that it is a very busy place with phone calls from parents and announcements informing teachers of student pick-up changes. Therefore, we discourage early dismissal unless it is an emergency. The office staff and teachers do a great job making sure every student is where they need to be to get picked up or on a bus.

NO SCHOOL (Spring Break)

State mandated testing is just around the corner. The English Language Arts, Math, and Science tests will be in April. It is very important that you take time to stress the importance of these exams to your child. Make sure they go to bed at a good time and are getting plenty of rest. Practice materials will be coming home soon. Spring and the end of the year will be here before we know it. Wow how time flies. Remember to take part in your child’s education and show them how important it is. Thank you for your support and if you need anything feel free to ask or call. David Gill Elementary Principal
