We will review alphabet letter names and sounds for letters a-z. We will also be working on capital letters. Many of you have asked what you can do to help your child. Here are some areas of need: 1. Do the daily assignment in the homework packet. It will be due on November 30th. 2. Review the letter names and signal for each letter with the letter sound. 3. Go over the sight words listed in this newsletter. Go over them every day like flash cards. You don’t have to spend a lot of time-it is the consistency that counts! 4. Don’t forget to read library books and record them on the reading log. This month’s goal is 12 books. The reading log is part of their homework and is recorded on their report card. Upcoming events: Thurs. Nov.15 Elementary trip to Pawhuska Constantine Center for a play (please send $1) Tues, Nov. 20th- We will be hosting Woodland Wake Up and you are invited to watch your child sing a song and recite a poem. It begins at 8:00am. Tues, Nov. 20th Stone Soup play and dinner (please send your can by Mon. 19th)
Box Tops contest ends on the 19th!!!!!!!
We will be going to the Constantine Theatre this Thursday, Nov. 15th to see a play. Each child will need $1 for admission. We will be returning in time for lunch. We are so sorry but parents are not invited to this trip as there is very limited space. Be watching for the stone soup note.
