Your child will go to the library on Mondays and Thursdays. They will check out books to take home to read. Please read the book with your child and record the title on the reading log located in the M.O.O.S.E folder. The goal for the 1st 9wks is 15 books by October 11th.
This week we will be reading Pete the Cat I Love My White Shoes. It is a story about a cat that steps in different things. No what happens he keeps singing his song because it’s all good. The author’s name is Eric Litwin. You can view the free song on www.harpercollinschildrens.com/petethecat. Ask your child their favorite part of the story. Upcoming events: Labor Day…No school Monday, September 2nd
In Math we will be… identifying and naming shapes (circle, square, rectangle, diamond, oval, triangle, heart, trapezoid, hexagon). graphing our favorite shoe color and discussing most/least/equal. In Reading we will… learn catina cat and deedee deer’s letter name and sound. learn the sight words purple, white, black, orange, red and review I and a. rhyming, counting syllables. We are also learning to correctly form letters and numbers. On the back of this sheet, you will the correct way we make them in kindergarten.

Monday-Tatortot casserole Tuesday-Taco Pie Wednesday-Sloppy Joes Thursday-Chicken Strips Friday-Pizza
Just a reminder: We will be swimming on Tuesday and Friday this week. Please send your child in shoes they can put on by themselves like flip flops or sandals. Friday is the last swim day.
