La Crescent Secondary School Board Report To: La Crescent –Hokah School Board and Superintendent Cardille From: Steve Smith – Secondary Principal (512) Date: May 2016 ● We recognized our middle school students and their achievements at our annual awards program. This included the honor roll, middle school play participants, student council members, and a variety of other individual awards as well. This was followed by the annual talent show which was outstanding. ● Our 5k walk/run was held in the morning of the last day and we had great weather and participation. The tshirts purchased will help raise money for our incoming 5th graders to get a lancer pride shirt for the beginning of the year. ● Winona State, Dr. Walker and Dr. Redman gave a lot of time and effort to organizing and supporting our last day activities as well. This was a very energetic group and we could not structure our day without their help. A huge thanks to all involved. ● Final exams went well and the afternoon was dedicated to a kick ball tournament sponsored and organized by the HS student council. ● The last week was an opportunity for us to also recognize students for a variety of achievements in particular classes, perfect attendance and athletic recognition as well. ● Summer school will begin on the 13th for 912 and later for 58.
