LEED 2009 for Neighborhood Development SLL CREDIT 7: SITE DESIGN FOR HABITAT OR WETLAND AND WATER BODY CONSERVATION Stage 1: LEED-ND Conditional Approval

SITES WITHOUT HABITAT OR WETLANDS AND WATER BODIES Method used to document compliance with SLL Prerequisite 3 Stage 1: Upload SLLc7-1 confirms the absence of significant habitat, land within 100 ft of such habitat, and wetlands and water bodies and their SLL Prerquisite 3 buffers. Document compliance with SLL Prerequisite 3 Option 1 or 2(a) before attempting this SLL Credit 7 option.

SITES WITH SIGNIFICANT HABITAT Upload SLLc7-1 confirms that significant habitat and buffers are not located within the project development footprint. Describe efforts and cooperation taken, or to be taken, with state Natural Heritage Program (NHP) to delineate habitat on the project site.

Describe efforts and cooperation taken, or to be taken, with the state fish and wildlife agency to delineate habitat on the project site, or indicate that the project is located in a state where wildlife duties are performed by the NHP agency.

Name of individual and/or organization assisting in habitat delineation, and qualifications.

Upload SLLc7-2. The project team has uploaded a commitment to prepare a land sale or easement agreement transferring habitat and buffers to a qualified party, signed and dated on owner or developer letterhead.

SITES WITH WETLANDS AND WATER BODIES Upload SLLc7-1 confirms that wetlands, water bodies, and buffers are not located within project development footprint. The project team confirms that the project does not have negative impacts on habitat for federal state endangered species, or NatureServe GH/G1/G2/G3/S1/S2 species (see Option 2(a) of the rating system requirements for details). Upload SLLc7-3. The project team has uploaded a description of qualifications or the resume of the biologist preparing the wetlands and water body assessment; or a commitment to hire, signed and dated on owner or developer letterhead. Upload SLLc7-4. The project team has uploaded a wetlands and water body assessment summary of the following functions: water quality maintenance, wildlife habitat protection, and hydrologic maintenance, including flood protection, if applicable; or a commitment to prepare, signed and dated on owner or developer letterhead. Upload SLLc7-5. The project team has uploaded a commitment to prepare a land sale or easement agreement transferring habitat and buffers to a qualified party, signed and dated on owner or developer letterhead.
