Opening: The regular meeting of the Indiana Wrestling Boosters was called to order at 7:10 PM June 14, 2015 at Coney Restaurant, Indiana, PA.
A. Approval of Minutes : no action B. Standing Reports 1. Treasurer’s Report – Current balance 12,356.21 as of June 1st, 2015 2. Coaches’ Report a. Sr. High and Jr High- None b. Elementary Report- Coach Blystone reported that kids will be attending summer camps. A few from the elementary program would be going to Marion Center for a 3 day camp. 3. Committee reports a. A reminder on a one time summer camp reimbursement of $100.00 for each wrestler who attends an off season wrestling camp. b. Ed Marcozzi made a motion and Heather Marcozzi second it for the booster to donate $100.00 each to Bobby Bell and Trent Orr to attend the Disney Duals in Florida over July 4th. Motion carried.
c. Mack Park pool party will be August 23rd from 1-4. Nichole will send out the flyer after she gets all the information from the YMCA d. Kennywood day is July 13th. T-shirt pick up will be July 9th at the Jr. High
C. New Business a. Motion was made to hire Jaison Blystone for November-February - $3,000 Plus additional practices in March for wrestlers advancing to Areas and States
Practice two nights per week, assisted by volunteer coaches One tournament per weekend that the team travels to together Coach any wrestlers attending Sections, Areas and States Meet with assistant coaches to define groups, plan out the practice schedule and curriculum Communicate with assistant coaches throughout the season Share information (practices/tourneys/guidelines/changes/etc) with coordinator to be communicated to families and posted on the website
b. A committee will be set up to work with Jaison Blystone on the elemantary tournament. c. Ed Marcozzi will be the Jr High Tournament Director. He will contact Todd Cunningham and get last year’s information. d. Bylaws- Bylaws were discussed and reviewed. Amended bylaws will be reviewed and voted on at the next booster meeting.
Meeting adjourned: 8:35 PM, Next meeting Thursday, July 9th at the Jr. High School Time 7:00.
