The Northwest Pennsylvania Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers is asking that you consider supporting us this year with an ad placed into The Press newsletter. Our section prints and mails a monthly newsletter for 8 months to our membership of nearly 300. We feature a meeting topic supporting the SPE Mission … to promote and provide the knowledge and education of plastics and polymers worldwide. The newsletter is also posted on the National SPE website for all members worldwide to read and see what’s going on in the N.W. Pennsylvania area. By advertising, you help with printing and postage costs. In return your ad will be positioned with pictures and copy to afford good exposure to our local membership as well as the entire SPE worldwide. The local N.W. Pennsylvania Section has many features to offer both members and advertisers. On back of this letter are the monthly meeting topics for last year to give you more input into what we have accomplished. Our Student Chapter from Penn State, Behrend Plastics Technology Center participate and many students attend our monthly meetings. Our section also supports students at the elementary level in the annual PLASTcar Competition which is growing each year. Three Scholarships are awarded each December to three students in Plastic Engineering Technology classes at Penn State Behrend. We know that our students will be the SPE members of the future and encourage their participation. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
