Green STEM Afterschool Club Selected students in our Green STEM Afterschool Club from the 4th and 5th grades completed the Waste Unit of our program and shared out via a US-wide Skype Party with students from our partner school and various organizations. When asked what they learned about themselves, students said, “we learned about our role in the community, being a student, learning how to take care of the earth...." "I learned we don't have to wait for the government to get involved, we can just go out and do it and make changes!" Our eco-schools program empower students to become leaders, to have a voice and a point of view, they build confidence and teaches compassion and empathy.

Over Thanksgiving Break, we offered students from 3-5 grades and opportunity to participate in the “Doodle 4 Google” contest.

The contest asked, what does our future look like? But for PS34, we asked students to think about what a “green” future will look like. See above, Filip Kaminski’s (4-201)
