Summer round up! LATEST ON SUMMER LEAGUE; HOCKEY TOURS AND MUCH, MUCH MORE
2011/12 TRAINING DATES ANNOUNCED! (See page 2)
Club News: Whilst some of you are busy putting your feet up and resting up for the winter season, there’s many hockey keenos (and I’m not just talking about Tony Brennan!!) who are getting their fix of summer hockey! This year the club has entered 7 teams!! This years’ teams are: Oddbods, Smarties, Pimp My Side, Lions, Tigers, Cubs and Bobcats. With so many teams, it’s lead to lots of inter-club matches and lots of friendly rivalry! You can check out the latest results on the club website: www.saintshockey.org.uk
Whilst talking about summer league sides, Pimp My Side recently made the long journey to Milton Keynes to compete in a weekend of hockey and socialising (see above photo!). The next tour is scheduled for this weekend (29th-31st July), where the Pimps will be joined by the Thundercats! Keep an eye out on facebook for lots of photos! Men’s 7 a side hockey on a Monday evening has been a great success with many badgers coming along to get some good experience of adult hockey. One final note: 2011-12 Fixtures have now been published (including pre-season games). So check out the website (www.saintshockey.org.uk/teams ) for dates and make sure you keep those Saturdays free!!

Club Open Day – Grow Your Own
Need to up your fitness before the start of the season? Then join the Men’s 1st team for a fitness work out at Moulton Sports Complex on Wednesday 3rd August at 7.30pm
In conjunction with England Hockey’s Grow Your Own Scheme, the club is holding an open day on Saturday 10th September. Exact details are TBC but if you’ve got any friends or family interested in playing hockey then tell them to keep this date free
