oAKRIDGE TIMES Another busy week at Oakridge and we are already fast approaching the half term break. Parent consultation meetings will be taking place at the infant school on 19th and 21st October for Year 1 and 2. Year R’s meetings have been postponed until after the half term break as the children are still being assessed and information will not be available until then. Year 6 are currently preparing for their residential trip and there will be daily updates on the website during the trip and this can be found at http:// www.oakridgejuniorschool.co.uk/news/detail/year-6-residential/. Finally I look forward to seeing the Year 2 parents at the Parent Forum Meeting on 20th @ 9am and also welcoming our prospective new parents into school on the open days next week. Year 5 Selbourne On Tuesday 29th September Year 5 spent the day at the Gilbert White Field Studies Centre in Selborne. While they were there, they built models of rivers in the woods, and conducted different experiments in the Oakhanger stream to help them understand river processes. Fortunately for them the day was very sunny, so the only water they had to cope with was the water from the stream that got in their wellies!
