oAKRIDGE TIMES Both the Infant and Junior School had their annual LLP visit (county inspector) last week, the purpose of the visit is to work alongside the school helping it to evaluate the progress that it has made and identify any support required from the local authority . Both visits went extremely well with lesson observations, pupil interviews and work scrutiny taking place. The children impressed Sarah Dunn throughout both visits, well done to everyone for their hard work. Year 5 completed their bikeability training last week and were a credit to the school. The Road Safety Awareness day on Friday led by the JRSOs went very well, thank you to everyone for their support. Diane Charman

Junior Stars of the Week

Year 1 Celebrate 100 Days

Year 3 Trip to Butser Ancient Farm

Year 1 have been learning about numbers up to 100

On Tuesday 2nd February, Year 3 travelled back in time at Butser Ancient Farm.

To celebrate reaching 100 days of term, Year 1 are having a party on 12th February 2016 during the afternoon. We would like Year 1 children to dress up as old men or old women.

Year 5 Bikeability All this week Year 5 have been learning how to look after and safely ride their bikes. From checking their brakes, seat height and tyres to taking their bikes out onto the road.

We explored life from the Iron Age, becoming archaeologists, artists, jewellery makers and even fence makers. We compared life today to then and all agreed that life is much easier today!
