Principal’s Message
Meet Marc Brown Marc Brown, author and illustrator of the well-known Arthur book series and award winning tv program, will be Sheridan Elementary School’s guest on Thursday, October 8. Mr. Brown was born in Pennsylvania and now lives in New York City. He gets ideas for his characters from his family and from people he meets. His books are known for the wonderful lessons that they teach. Recently published books by Marc Brown are: Monkey: Not Ready for Kindergarten, In New York City, and Marc Brown’s Playtime Rhymes. In addition to writing, he, illustrates books for many other famous children’s authors. We are excited about Mr. Brown’s visit!
We have many exciting things happening at SES in October. Our hope is to invite you into SES to see all the wonderful activities your child is participating in on a daily basis. I want to encourage you to sign up for Remind 101 or watch Twitter for all the learning that is taking place at SES. We appreciate each of you and your support.
Red Ribbon Week Oct. 26-30 Mon, 26th: 50’s Day...It’s the 50th day of school. Dress up to represent the 50’s! Tues, 27th: Team Up Against Drugs Wear school colors or favorite team jersey to show team spirit Wed, 28th: Wear Red...wear as much red clothing as possible to pledge to be drug free Thurs, 29th: Wild About Being Drug Free Wear animal print or camouflage Fri, 30th: Show Good Character...wear favorite Disney, Pixar, Cartoon, or Super Hero clothing.
