MOVING TO THE CLOUD

THE BIG FISH

Progress has continued in March on migrating our production environment to the cloud. Testing is complete in the stage environment and the team has finished estimating how long the transition will take when we completely move our production server to the cloud. They are also developing disaster recovery plans. Recently the product development team successfully migrated some of our clients to our new ftp site for incoming data feeds and they are are continuing to contact the remaining clients and those that are also receiving ftp feeds from us.

Two meetings were scheduled as a result of connections made at executive level conferences. The marketing team is continuing to follow up on additional leads from recent events, and is expanding the distribution list for the executive mailer to include private equity companies. The Sales team is creating executive mailers for their key prospects using Product Library and Financial Insights data along with personalized messaging based on each companies 'pain points'. Both teams are meeting monthly to review additional tools and techniques to "Catch the Big Fish."

A Team Effort

The Analytics, Client Services and Sales teams are continuing to work together to research additional methods of calculating ROI for our customers. Their focus in the short term is on labor and markdown optimization. They have been meeting with existing clients to get feedback on their current processes to reduce labor costs and increase sell through with markdowns to understand how our analytics could give them better results. The analytics team is still in early stages of understanding how we might calculate ROI, but they are receiving a lot of useful information to assist them from the client meetings. The Weather Operations team is compiling a list of historical instances of known weather patterns and documenting their impact on North American weather. This database will assist in their research and ability to forecast medium range weather. To generate an output from this information, they are developing forecast models.

The Data Prep team is documenting the work flow process for ROI calculations from receiving the data, processing it and sending to analytics. This will help to understand what is done and how long it takes. They are also setting up data validation checks to share with clients after we receive their data to confirm we received what they expected to send.

The Product Management team has been developing a project prioritization equation where categories like "% of customers impacted" and "revenue opportunity" each have a weighting and are assigned values separately for each project. A recommended priority is then calculated and will be part of the project priority meeting discussions.
