WE'VE MOVED! COME VISIT! The official migration of our production database to the Amazon Web Services cloud occurred last month! Another round of applause to Ira, Rich, Jim, Eli, Bill, Chris and Sean for all of their work to reach this game-changing milestone, and the many others throughout the company who have helped along the way. Discussions are already underway to determine what to do next to further scale our systems and take advantage of being a cloud-driven company. In the short term the team is wrapping up 'ppi205 - Cloud Migration' by testing the disaster recovery plan and moving our development environment into the cloud.

ROI TOOL ENHANCEM ENTS
The Weather Operations team completed their historical extreme event catalogue, and now the Product Development team is working on the design to incorporate the impact of extreme events into our WDD historical and forecast data. A plan is also being developed on how to roll out these new enhancements to our Clients. The Weather Operations team is also developing linear regression analyses to help improve their medium range forecasting, which is an on-going research project.
Testing is continuing on 'ppi224 - Enhanced Sales Support ROI Calculator', which will improve our current methods of calculating accuracy improvement in the ROI Calculator tool. As a reminder, accuracy improvement is the percent by which we improve a clients' demand forecast. This is an essential metric used to calculate ROI. We are also continuing to investigate ways to optimize the ROI Calculator so that it can process the increasingly larger data sets that we are receiving in a timely manner.

Tech Talk Thank you to Mohan Anand for hosting the Tech Talk this month. Who knew we were all Bayesians!
ROADMAP AND PROJECT UPDATES A new section has been added to the intranet under Departments called 'Product Management'. Here you can access the latest version of our short term roadmap, which outlines the various projects we are allocating resources to over the next 6 months. You can learn more about what stage each project is in as well; whether they are in testing, in development, on hold, or ranked and waiting their turn for development to begin. If you have questions about the projects you can feel free to ask Amy, Jessica, or the stakeholder and/or sponsor for each project. The project priority sheets will be updated weekly, while the 6-month roadmap will be updated as needed. All of these files are for internal purposes only. If you have a client that you feel would be interested in knowing about specific projects, please discuss this with Amy or the sponsor first to ensure we are setting their expectations appropriately.
Thank you to everyone that participated in, and helped plan for, our Planalytics Service Day last month. Riverbend Environmental Center appreciated our help throughout the day as much as we appreciated the chance to support our community.
