Get Their Attention! (5 minutes) Materials: BeBo Monster Puppet
WELCOME kids to our FearBusters Lab. EXPLAIN that in our lab, we are FearBusters who work hard to say “bye, bye, bye” to all the things that scare us and our monster friends. INTRODUCE & PASS BeBo Monster Puppet by saying: Meet our friend, BeBo Monster! (Hold Up Puppet)
Need to Know: When I’m Scared, (make scared face) I Will Pray! (pretend to pray)
Bible Story: Jesus Teaches on Prayer Luke 11:1-13
Materials: BeBo Monster Puppet God’s Story for Me Bible Candy Treats Bracelets BeBo Says Guide
Everyone give a ROARsome “Hello” to BeBo! (Everyone waves & says “Hello”.) When BeBo Monster comes to you, in your best monster voice, tell him your name. (Kids will PASS puppet & introduce themselves to him.) AFTER all kids have been introduced, SAY & DO the following: Have you ever been scared of something? (Allow responses.) We all get scared sometimes. Even our monster friend, BeBo, gets scared sometimes! Today, let’s teach BeBo how we can BUST our fears by praying! So say this with me: When I’m Scared (make scared face), I Will Pray! (pretend to pray)

SHOW & READ p.374-378 from God’s Story for Me Bible (“Jesus Teaches on Prayer”). ASK & SAY the following to review. Give kids a candy treat when they answer! 1.
Did Jesus get away to PRAY (pretend to pray) to God or WAVE (wave hand) at God? (Pray, p.374)
2.
Who wanted to learn how to pray, Jesus’ PETS or Jesus’ FRIENDS? (Jesus’ Friends, p.374)
3.
When we pray, should we tell God “I love food” or “I love you”? (I love you, p.375)
4.
Does God hear us when we PRAY? (Yes!)

God loves you and wants you to talk to Him all the time. If you are scared, you can pray and He will BUST your fear away! You can be a FearBuster by remembering that (have kids repeat after you): When I’m Scared (make scared face), I Will Pray! (pretend to pray) Let’s all pray together! (Have kids repeat after you, in short phrases) Dear God, I love you. Help me not be scared. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen! Great! If you get scared this week, remember to BUST your fear by praying!
Preschool Application Activity Summary: As we play “BeBo Says”, kids will make a bracelet to help them remember to PRAY to BUST their fears away!

Application Activity (10 min) Materials: Bracelets, BeBo Says Guide, BeBo Monster Puppet, Letter Stickers
1. GIVE each child one Bracelet. 2. Use BeBo Says Guide to EXPLAIN game to group. 3. After kids have placed the Letter Stickers in the correct order on their bracelets, SAY the following: Our bracelets can remind us we can BUST our fears away when we PRAY! These will help us be FearBusters all week long! (Assist kids in placing them on wrists.) This week, remember (have kids repeat after you): When I’m Scared (make scared face), I Will Pray! (pretend to pray)
Remember Verse: “I prayed (pretend to pray)

And He answered me. (cup hand to ear) He freed me (wave arms & smile)
Materials: None
1. Have kids REPEAT the Remember Verse (on left) after you, with motions. 2. EXPLAIN that this verse tells us that when we are scared, we can pray to God. God promises to hear us and help our fears go “bye, bye, bye”.

3. SAY the verse together again using different types of voices: baby monsters, whispering monster mamas, deep monster daddies, loud monster kids, slow sleepy monsters, etc.

4. Play at least two times, or as time allows.
Getting to Know You: Use these questions to get to know your group as they eat & color: What is something that has made you feel scared? What do you do when you feel scared? Who can help BUST your fear away? (God!)

LARGE GROUP REVIEW: 1. What monster did we meet in large group today? (BeBo Monster) 2. Was BeBo scared of the DARK or scared of the dog’s BARK? (The Dark) 3. When Agent Lou True told BeBo a Bible story, did he BUST BeBo’s fear of the dark? (Yes!) That’s right! Let’s all shout, “Fear Busted!” (Everyone shouts.) PRAY with your group, having them repeat the following after you in short phrases. Dear God, help me to not be scared! Thank you for my snack. I love you! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen! SANITIZE hands with hand sanitizer & PASS OUT snacks.
